How Can We Help?

This course is classroom based, one day a week, for 4 hours, usually on a Saturday, at the Umbrella Rooms, in Central London. There are 10 sessions each term and there are 3 x 10 week terms, in line with a school academic year. In the first term, you are taught all of the technical things you would need to know to be able to work on a film or television set as an actor. You will have scripts to perform and exercises that you will be encouraged to work on, independently, and your development is continually assessed by the course leader. It is a personal service. In term 2, you will be regularly filming scenes in class, working on a range of styles and putting your newly learned techniques into practice. In the final term, you will have the opportunity to prepare for Spotlight, getting your profile together, whilst still performing weekly in front of the camera. Casting directors and other visiting professional artists and industry people will mentor you during this term. During the course, you will also be attending regular, weekly online sessions with Paul David-Gough, learning how to get ahead in the industry, as well as meeting agents and other artists in forum, which are recorded and shred with group participants. COST £550/ per term, or £1,500 for the full course.
